Congratulations!!!!

I have an announcement! I'm pregnant! just kidding hahaha :) No the announcement is that Miranda was chosen as 1st place in a contest and she won the prize to get her picture on the cover of a magazine! We went to the kidz expo here in Utah and there was a contest for kids ages 0-6 (i think) to be accepted into modeling/acting for Stars Talent Studio. There were at least 30 kids there for tryouts and me and Miguel were there to put Brianna in a baby contest that was being held there (she didn't win or even chosen hahah oh well) and we saw this contest for the modeling/acting and we were like hey sure let's see if Miranda or Brianna get chosen. So we stood in line and I was thinking Miranda is going to be shy and not talk and she will be scared to talk to the lady with the microphone. So they call us up and Miranda was so ok with being up on stage and talking to the lady with the microphone. Brianna had fallen asleep while i was holding her so they couldn't interact with her but Miranda was talking and twirling and saying hi. It was so cute. So we got off stage and sat down waiting for the judges to choose the top 3 winners and the runner ups. I was thinking that I never win anything and there were so many cute kids and I wouldn't get it and it was a fun experience and all this stuff. The judges start reading off the runner ups and none of them were Miranda and I was like ok honey let's go. I didn't realize that they were just the runner ups and then they were like ok and the winner is Miranda Lee. I was like what?! did I just hear her right? So Miguel took her up on stage and Miranda had no idea what she had just won. ahaha but she won a free photo shoot and her picture will be on their magazine.The best part is that the Stars Talent Studio likes to focus on integrity modeling and to build up good values and they are very family oriented. So on Thursday we are going to take her to get her pics done! and in all the craziness they asked Miguel to try out for modeling too. So he is going in on Thursday too to try out. Kinda funny! Good job Miranda and Miguel! Here are some pics. They aren't very good.

Realize

So this Sunday I have been thinking and realizing something. Actually I have realized this for a few months now but I am continually reminded of this thing I have come to realize. It is something that we all know deep down but we are all caught up to think about it. I have realized that everyone is in their own stage or point of life and we cannot judge them for their actions. We have all been in their situation or close to it and done the same thing and the only reason that we look down on others is because we forget something. Something that is really important. We are all human and make mistakes but it is the wiser and stronger that will change the outcome and forgive the people that have offended us doubted us tried to change us judged us betrayed us used us ignored us. How can I expect people to be happy by themselves? I have to try to help them be happy. If this is a purpose Heavenly Father has for me then it is the least I can do for his kindness, his love, his marvelous spirit. I know I am trapped in this snare that Satan has prepared for me and many more. But as I say: "In life there are ups and downs. when you go up, go as far up as you can and enjoy it, and when you go down remember to learn from it and never let it keep you down." I do not want to be miserable. I want to help someone just by being their friend, by smiling, by visiting, by teaching, by making them a treat, or by offering some consoling/encouraging words. I know that this is my weakness and I am not the only who knows it. Satan will do his best to keep me down. That is why I am so thankful for my Heavenly Father because he has the greater power to enlighten me. He truly wants us all to come back to his presence and enjoy all the promises and blessings he has given to us if we can make it back. This is also one of the reasons it is so important for us to befriend someone so we can help them in their time of need. We cannot do this on our own. I am blessed for those that have helped me or have tried to help or who keep trying to help me. I love you all.

Miranda's Drawing

So Miranda my 3 year old loves to draw and she does pretty good at coloring all of the picture instead of coloring a spot on the page and is done with it. So I was writing a card to my Dad and brother for their birthday (same days) and I asked Miranda if she wanted to draw a picture. She said yes and she drew a picture and then told me she was done. I got the card back and looked to see what she drew and this was the picture she drew.

It was the cutest thing I had ever seen. She drew arms and legs and a face and hair and hands and feet. I freaked out about it and Miranda was so proud of herself. I love my big girl!

To my Miguel

I want everyone to know Miguel the way I know him! He is such a blessing to me. He is always so caring of his family. He is always putting us first before himself. He knows he goes to work to provide for us and trying to get school finished so he can continue stepping up to take better care for us. He always gives me the last bite of food when we share a meal. He always makes sure I am comfortable. If we are watching a movie he gets me a blanket and he will let me put my legs on him even if he is uncomfortable. I find out he was uncomfortable after the movie was over and he didn't even say anything to me throughout the movie to put me first. :* He cooks for me all the time. (and may I just say he is a really good cook.) He can throw a meal together by putting things together I would not have thought of. It is pretty much amazing. He always gets me a glass of water before we go to bed even if he had fallen asleep before me. Before he goes to work he ALWAYS comes and gives me a kiss even if I am cranky sleepy and have morning breath. hahah He always gives me my towel after a shower. He puts Miranda to bed every night and brushes her teeth for her. He always tells me I am beautiful which will always make me feel good! even when it is one of those days where I do not feel like it. He always takes care of me when I am sick, even if he is sick too. He gives me everything I want before he gets something he wants. I have to MAKE him get it! HA HA. Miguel is so playful. He is a goof ball. He is just so funny. Miguel is a very hard worker. If he wants something, he will make it happen. He is determined. He is very forgiving. He is always the first to apologize. I hear from a lot of people that the Nielsen's are stubborn. ( my maiden name) and I know that to be true. Miguel is my husband and I love him more than I can tell you.

I'm blessed and have 2 funny girls.

I am blessed with 2 beautiful girls! I am so thankful for their spirits! Everyday I get the opportunity to learn from them, to teach them, to watch them grow and enhance their personalties. God has a sweet and giving spirit. He passes on the chance for us to be parents. Honestly this is one of the greatest callings; to be a part of a family. Every day I get to see these girls. Just looking at their faces makes me smile. ha ha.

milestone

So I had one other blog but it was messed up and I didn't know how to fix it so I just created a new one. So today Brianna crawled! I love it! It is great for her because she gets to explore and learn and do things for herself. Even though this means she can get to things that she shouldn't. I guess it helps me to be cleaner! Miranda loves to help her and to encourage her to do it. Miranda is such a sweet big sister. I always heard of how the older siblings are mean and selfish and jealous, but Miranda is sweet and caring. Every morning when Miranda wakes up she comes to Brianna and says in a high voice "Good morning Brianna! How are you? You are so cute." It is so sweet. She always wants to get her a blanket and diapers/wipes and some toys to play with. She loves her. Brianna is always looking for Miranda.

Brianna is 8 months now and time has flown by. She says "ma ma" with her tongue sticking out! haha She is crawling slowly.

She refuses to drink any type of bottle or sippy cup. She will kind of eat baby food and finger foods but she really doesn't like anything but mama. I will keep trying. Miranda just turned 3 on Sunday! She had a cake and we sang Happy Birthday to her. She wished for some cake. haha We celebrated her Birthday a couple of weeks before her Birthday with her cousin Linnea who turned 4. It was a "Tangled" theme. She sings the rhyme to heal to me all the time. So cute! Miranda loves to color and she does very well at it. She also likes to dance and is good at that too. She has gotten into Barbies now and makes up stories and pretend life. I can't believe I have a 3 year old! crazy! I love having Miranda around. She is so fun and entertaining!

Miguel and I were both sick with something yesterday and it took a toll on us. We had fevers and it was crazy weird and then we woke up and we both feel fine. Weird stuff I tell you!

So I have been thinking of things I want to get into or accomplish and a few things have crossed my mind. First I hate cooking and I want to change that so what better way than to make it into something fun. So I want to try different things to cook that look nice and pretty but also taste delicious. Second I really want to get into reading because I used to love it and I haven't done it in a while so I want to read some classics and some others to expand my knowledge. Third I really want to start running. I love running. I used to do it and it felt so good and then I stopped and used pregnancy as an excuse. So I really want to start running. But I need to find some good shoes and a partner would be nice! :) But those are some things I really want to do and I will see how it all goes and turns out. thanks for following along!
